Step 6: Saving your Process MapTo save your process map, select File > Save or click on the Save icon. Choose the location of your process map. You may want to check with your internal co-ordinator as they could have set up a file store for all the process maps in your organisation. Type a name for the map, for example: Initiate recruitment. In general, the filename of the map should be the same as the Node, but does not have to be especially if the Node name is long. For example, a map with the node name Generate and Review Process Comparison Report could be in a file Generate PCR. NOTE: There are some characters forbidden in the file name. See Forbidden text characters. Remember to save your files as Visio XML drawings: use VDX file format in Visio 2010 or earlier, and VSDM or VSDX file format in Visio 2013 or later). TIP: Triaster recommend keeping one map per Visio file. |
